Two opportunities to hear the Kiokee String Quintet perform this program:
Dance Around the World
The Kiokee Quintet will take listeners on a toe-tapping tour of dances from around the world. Ever since humans began walking upright, we have felt the urge to move rhythmically and express ourselves through dance. From the elegant and refined French Minuet to the wild, uncontrolled Italian tarantella, from the sensual Argentine tango to the peasant dances of Romania, from the sophisticated Cuban/New York mambo to folksy Appalachian reels, the Quintet will choreograph a concert of delightful dances!
