Ensembles Intermezzo are groups of musicians devoted to the performance of popular classics, art songs and contemporary standards, in addition to their creative settings of hymns, spirituals, film, opera and Broadway music.
Duo Intermezzo piano and cello personnel are often joined by another instrumentalist (eg., oboe or violin) to form Trio Intermezzo, and vocal artists to form Lyric Intermezzo. All three ensembles delight audiences with their engaging performances in both formal and informal concert settings throughout the Southeastern United States. They are often featured performers on regional concert series, worship services, meetings, and programs for retirement communities.
Every performance is uniquely programmed to share the experience of great music with people of all ages and cultures. The versatile performers of Ensembles Intermezzo are also the perfect small group for weddings, funerals, dinner or luncheon parties, and receptions.
