Kiokee Quintet

Kiokee QuintetThe Kiokee String Quintet takes its name from the historic Kiokee Baptist Church in Appling, Georgia, where the Quintet gave its premiere performance. The founding members (Ryan Kho and Jonathan Aceto, violin, Carl Purdy, viola, Ruth Berry, cello and Sara Neal Lokey, double bass) are among the top artists in the Georgia-Carolina region; they bring to every performance a wealth of inspiration, passion and shared experience.

The Kiokee Quintet not only gives riveting concerts of the finest gems in classical repertoire, it also excels at popular genres including jazz, Broadway and bluegrass. The Quintet is an ideal accompaniment for chamber choirs and as an engaging ensemble for featured entertainment at meetings, retirement communities, worship services, weddings, dinner or luncheon parties, and receptions.

The Kiokee Quintet also specializes in educational programs. They are the perfect introduction to the string family, and have designed an educational program (coordinated with Georgia and South Carolina Learning Standards) called Music Changes With The World.
